Communities In Schools plays a key role in supporting students across Randolph County. Site Coordinators are part of the county attendance team and work to create and support attendance initiatives that help students show up each day. Site coordinators create fun Incentives such as parades, bulletin boards, certificates with prize drawings, Attendo (BINGO), “Attend”dances, no tardy parties, movies and special lunches to recognize improvement in attendance.


Randolph County CIS values partnerships with United Way, Youth Health Family Resource Center, Randolph County Family Resource Center, CLIMB (Caring, Loving, Inspiring, Mentoring, Bringing Hope to Randolph County youth), as well as local church organizations. 

Countywide hygiene totes are provided to schools (sponsored by United Way), The Randolph County Backpack Program provides weekend food support. With fourteen schools receiving about 180 bags each week prepared by local church partners and volunteers. Support from the Snowshoe Foundation strengthens food pantries and clothing closets in multiple schools. The site coordinators in Randolph County work with care and thoughtfulness to help every student have what they need to learn and thrive.
