Pocahontas County Communities In Schools Coordinators—Lois Wilfong, Jillian Lacasse, and Marsha Grimes—were thrilled to organize a county-wide visit from the WVU Mountaineer Cade Kincaid, bringing excitement and inspiration to all five Pocahontas County Schools. Cade spent the day traveling across the county, meeting students from every grade level—from curious preschoolers to graduating seniors—sharing a powerful message about the importance of showing up, staying engaged, and giving their best effort in school. His presence lit up each school with Mountaineer pride as he spoke passionately about how consistent attendance and active participation are key ingredients to success both in and out of the classroom.
Students were captivated by Cade’s energy and authenticity, and many were eager to ask questions and learn more about what it means to represent West Virginia University. The visit not only reinforced the values of dedication and perseverance but also gave students a tangible connection to the broader Mountaineer community. Cade’s message resonated deeply, reminding everyone that success starts with simply being present and ready to learn.

The day was a memorable celebration of school spirit, community connection, and educational encouragement. Let’s Go CIS! Let’s Go Mountaineers!
