Calhoun County: January Spotlight

We are incredibly proud of the Calhoun Middle High School Changemakers group for turning compassion into action. With a shared goal of supporting every student in our district, they came up with the wonderful idea to send home bags of food to each student in Calhoun schools during Christmas break helping ensure families felt supported while school was out.

This effort became a true team accomplishment. Our student services staff came together with dedication and heart to help bring this vision to life, working behind the scenes to organize, plan, and make it all happen. Through collaboration and determination, we reached out to community partners and generous companies who stepped up with donations, allowing us to purchase enough food for every student.

This initiative is a powerful reminder of what can happen when students, staff, and community members work together. It reflects the caring spirit of Calhoun Schools and shows how thoughtful ideas, fueled by teamwork and generosity, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and families during the holiday season. 🎄💙
