Braxton County November Spotlight

Braxton County Communities In Schools (CIS) has played a key role in strengthening the sense of community across the county. Since its implementation in all Braxton County schools in January 2020, CIS has continued to foster meaningful partnerships through shared success, open communication, and ongoing collaboration.

In October, Braxton County CIS Site Coordinators presented an overview of their program to the Braxton County Rotary Club. They highlighted the organization’s goals and outlined the three tiers of student support, along with the wide range of resources available through supply closets, community outreach, and family engagement activities. The coordinators also discussed how data management is used to track student and school progress, shared results from attendance incentive initiatives, and presented data showing improvements in chronic absenteeism across the county.

The Rotary Club has long been a valued partner, providing vital support to CIS initiatives that empower students and their families to thrive.
