Logan County, West Virginia, is a close-knit Appalachian community known for its strong spirit of resilience and deep-rooted pride in its people. The county’s residents share a remarkable sense of unity and care, especially visible through the dedication of its schools and local organizations. Logan County Schools serve a diverse student population, many of whom face challenges related to poverty and limited resources. Despite these obstacles, programs like Communities In Schools work tirelessly to ensure every child has the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
The Giving Tree program at Chapmanville Intermediate School stands as a success story for our local community. By using anonymous sponsorships, the program provides holiday gifts while ensuring families receive support with dignity and no embarrassment. Since Communities In Schools launched in the county in 2022, this collaborative effort has already brightened the holidays for 222 local children. We invite you to join our mission today to help us continue making a lasting difference for students throughout our county.
